🚨 Switzerland gives up on a dedicated cyberattack hotline!
🇨🇭🔐 Faced with the rise in cyberattacks and the growing sophistication of digital threats, a proposal to create a federal hotline dedicated to victims of cybercrime has been rejected by the Federal Council. The aim was to offer immediate, human support to citizens confronted with data theft, fraud or identity theft.
🛡️The government considers, however, that the mechanisms already in place, such as the cantonal police forces, reporting platforms and specialised support services, meet current needs. This decision comes at a time when a significant share of cyber incidents affecting individuals still goes unreported, complicating the identification of threats and the fight against cybercrime.
