🇨🇭 A butcher in Köniz, near Bern, was hit by a cyberattack that directly targeted its refrigeration and freezing systems. The attackers succeeded in taking control of the electronic installations, a first of its kind publicised in Switzerland after several similar incidents in European supermarkets.
⚠️ To avoid any health risk, the butcher had to disconnect its equipment from the network and temporarily close its doors. Inspections are ongoing, with a reopening planned for 20 November. This incident is a reminder that cyberattacks no longer affect only computers and data, but also the equipment essential to business operations.
